Compliance, AML/CFT and KYC

Last updated: October 27, 2026

VupiCard is committed to the highest standards of integrity and to combating money laundering (AML), terrorist financing (CFT) and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, in line with FATF recommendations and applicable laws.

1. Governance

We maintain a compliance program with a designated compliance officer, policies and procedures approved by management, regular training and independent review.

2. Know Your Customer (KYC)

3. Risk-based approach

We classify customers, products, channels and geographies by risk level and apply proportionate limits and controls.

4. Sanctions screening

All customers and, where applicable, counterparties are screened against UN, OFAC (US), EU, UK and national sanctions lists, at onboarding and on an ongoing basis.

5. Unsupported jurisdictions

We do not open accounts for or process transactions involving countries subject to comprehensive sanctions or listed by the FATF as high-risk jurisdictions subject to a call for action, including but not limited to: North Korea, Iran, Myanmar, Cuba, Syria and the Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions. This list may be updated at any time.

6. Transaction monitoring

We monitor transactions in real time and retrospectively to identify unusual activity. Suspicious transactions are investigated and, where appropriate, reported to the competent authorities without notifying the customer, as required by law.

7. Prohibited businesses and activities

We do not accept customers or funds linked to illegal activities, unlicensed gambling, weapons, illegal drugs, pyramid schemes, shell banks or any activity listed as prohibited in our Terms of Service.

8. Record keeping

We keep customer and transaction records for at least 5 years after the end of the relationship, or longer where required by law.
